St. Thaddeus Monastery or in Persian Qare Kelisa is an historic Armenian monastery. The old monastery is located on the extreme northwest of Iran near the borders of Turkey and Nakhchivan.

The massive church has been constructed on highlands which makes possible to recognize it from distance. According to Armenian traditions, apostle Thaddeus preached the word of God at this place.

St. Thaddeus Monastery holds a service annually, on the Day of St. Thaddeus (July 22nd). The occasion attracts many Armenian pilgrims from all over Iran and other countries.

St. Thaddeus Monastery, St. Stepanos Monastery, and Zorzor Chapel are listed as one of the Iranian 17 World Heritage sites as Armenian Monastic Ensembles of Iran.
